Welcome to Always Happy Island, brought to your daughters and you by the Procter & Gamble Feminine Care Division (P&G).

The Always Happy Island website is designed to be a safe haven where your daughters can relax, have fun, get together and get happy with other girls just like them, in a controlled and monitored environment.

Your daughter can join this online community, design their own room, chat with other girls on the Island and send virtual presents to other girls to make them happy.

That’s what the Island is all about…spreading happiness.

Every time a girl visits the site, she rates her happiness from 1-10. She can change this rating at any time, depending on how happy the other Islanders make her feel. The happier the girls are, the happier the Island is and the whole point is to get the Island to 100% happiness!

At P&G, we are committed to a safe and positive experience for all girls on Always Happy Island, so below you’ll find important information about what the girls can do on the Island and the safeguards we have put in place.

You can help too by spending time online with your children and monitoring their online use. Please help us protect your child's privacy by instructing them never to provide personal information on this site or any other without your permission.

What can my daughter do on Always Happy Island?

The main thing your daughter can do is chat with other girls and send presents to the other girls on the Island to make them happy.

What presents?

There are three different types of presents on the island:

1. Presents created by P&G.
   These take the form of static JPEG images or little animations. It could be a funny picture of a Penguin wearing a Fez or group of musicians singing a song. We’ve created hundreds of these gifts that we’re making available on the Island over time.
2. Images (JPEGs) created by the girls themselves.
   Girls can upload images and send them around as presents. The uploaded images are reviewed by a team of moderators. If the uploaded image is deemed suitable it appears on the Island for the girl to send to whoever she wishes. If the image is not suitable, the image will not appear and the girl is sent an email explaining why.
3. Links to other websites.
   If your daughter has found a great website, funny video or game on the internet, then she can send a link to it around the Island as a present to the other girls.

Chatting with other girls on Always Happy Island

Also, the girls on the Island can leave messages and send emails to each other and use the Always Happy Island Chat functionality to talk together in real time. When any girl is using the Chat function, they have the opportunity to block any other person who is upsetting them or making them feel uncomfortable. And, at any time, they can report another user for bad behaviour and the matter will be swiftly dealt with.

What safeguards are in place to protect my daughter?

The island is moderated by a team of specially trained and dedicated moderators. Every single image a girl uploads to the island is moderated and only appears on the site if it is deemed suitable.

In the message forums, all posts are moderated and if anything is deemed unsuitable, the post is either removed and the user responsible contacted or banned, or the user is gently reminded to follow the rules. The action taken depends on the severity of the material. We WILL NOT allow:

• Harassment, personal attacks, abusive or violent behaviour
• Offensive or graphic content
• Illegal activities
• Copyrighted material
• Span, schemes or chain letters
• Solicitation
• Personal information about any individual (ie. Date of Birth)
• Libel and defemation
• Underage use
• Impersonation

The age limits on Always Happy Island are also strictly adhered to.

• No girl under the age of 13 may join Always Happy Island
• Girls aged between 13 and 15 may join with parental consent via email
• Girls aged 16 or over do NOT need parental permission to join

We are open and honest with all the girls on the Island about how important their safety and security is. Every Islander will see information explaining what they should and shouldn’t do to ensure a positive and fun experience.

Please be incredibly careful about what information you let others see. We suggest you don’t use your real name as your User Name and obviously you should:

• NEVER EVER let anyone know your secret password.
• NEVER write your password down anywhere on Always Happy Island.
• NEVER write your date of birth anywhere on Always Happy Island.
• NEVER write your real surname anywhere on Always Happy Island.
• NEVER write your phone number on Always Happy Island.
• NEVER write your address on Always Happy Island.
• AND if anyone ever makes you feel uncomfortable on Always Happy Island, then REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY! You just need to click the ‘Report Abuse’ button.
