When you login to the Island you’ll be asked to say how happy you feel. Just click on a number from 1 to 10. One means you’re feeling really down and need some cheering up and ten means you’re glowing with joy and just can’t stop smiling. That’s the time to spread your happiness and send as many presents as you can!
You can change your happiness level at any time by using the Happiness Slider Tool in your Suitcase. Just slide it up the happier the Islanders make you.
When you can see your avatar, then you can wander around the Island. Just use your cursor keys to move forwards, backwards and sideways.
Every square you see on the ground represents one girl’s room. You’ll be able to see whether or not they are online and their individual Happiness Level. To pay them a visit, just click on the square.
If you’re already in a room (whether it’s yours or somebody else’s), you can just click on the Take a Walk panel in the bottom left of your screen. This will take you back to your avatar and you can walk to another room. You can also choose to visit a random room or enter a friend’s name to go straight to their room. If they haven’t got a room, then why not invite them?
Of course! The more, the happier! You can invite your friends from the Take a Walk panel in the bottom left. Enter a friend’s name and if they’re not already on the Island, you can send them an invite to join in the fun.
Well, it’s a beautiful Suitcase of course! You carry it with you wherever you go on the island and it contains all you need to make your stay a happy one. You can access your Friends List, your Account, change your Happiness Level or your status, get back to your room quickly or log out of Always Happy Island altogether. It’s a handy little thing!
That’s the spirit! That’s what the Always Happy Island is all about! It’s really simple. If you find a girl who’s feeling low then just click on her Profile Picture in the top left corner of her room and select ‘Send a Present’. Up will pop your Present Box which contains all the presents you’ve got to send. Select a present or enter a cool link into the Links field and hit ‘Send’. The next time she visits her room she’ll get your present. You can send a present to your friends too. Just choose the friend you want from your Friends List or choose the present you want to send from your Present Box and click ‘Send as a Present’.
Well, apart from being the things we all need once in a while, they are the most basic way you can spread happiness around the Island. Even if you’ve already sent someone everything in your Present Box, you can still make them smile with a quick hug, a kiss, or by telling them you love them. Sometimes the little things are what REALLY matter.
Easy. Click on her profile picture when you’re in her room and select ‘Contact me’. Up pops an email window and you can get writing. Click ‘Send’ and when she next visits her room, she’ll get your message.
Sending a present to one of your Island friends couldn’t be simpler. Open up your Suitcase, click on ‘Friends’ and up comes your Friends List. Select the friend you want, click on ‘Send Present’ in the window that appears, choose which present you want her to have and the click ‘Send’. That’s what being a good friend is all about. I hope she appreciates you!
It’s just like sending a present. Open up your Suitcase, click on ‘Friends’ and up comes your Friends List. Select the friend you want, click on ‘Send Mail’ in the window that appears, type your email and click ‘Send’.
You can request a chat with any friend on the Island, but of course they might not accept. After all, they could be too busy making other people happy! All you do is open up your ‘Friends’ panel from your suitcase and select ‘Chat.’ Up pops the Chat window, type what you want and hit ‘Start Chatting’. If your chat is accepted, you’ll see her reply appear.
There are all the things you need to get happy and spread happiness. Your Presents and Mail, your Diary, your Gallery, your Profile, your Account, your Present Box, your Friends List, your Happiness Rating and your Status…phew!
The lovely stuff that makes you happy! You can access your Presents and Mail by clicking on the letterbox on the back wall of your room, or on the present or envelope that might be sitting on your floor. Here you’ll find all the presents you’ve been sent and all the emails you’ve been sent.
Here, you can also send emails and presents to your friends on Always Happy Island, and access your Present Box too see what’s in it.
This is the huge and exciting box of fun that contains all the presents you’ve got to give to other Islanders. You can open it from the Presents and Mail window. Inside you’ll see all the presents you can send and get the chance to send them.
Your most treasured possessions and thoughts! Your Diary is the book that sits on the right hand table in your room. Inside is a place where you can write down the things in your head – the things you think and dream of, or even just the best gossip. Your friends can also write what they are thinking and feeling in your Diary. And of course, you can write in theirs.
When you open your Diary, by clicking on it, you’ll come to your Diary pages. Here you get the chance to write whatever you want. Just click the ‘Add Entry’ button and start writing. When you’ve finished click ‘Add. and your entry will appear in your diary.
When you’ve visited another Islander you can click on their Diary to open it. Just click on the ‘Leave an entry’ button and start writing, when you’ve finished, click ‘Add’. It will 24 hours to appear in their diary, so don’t be disappointed when you can’t see it straight away.
This is you! Are you a Scorpio or a Gemini? Do you like romance films or comedy films? Do you like cats, dogs, snakes, wombats or penguins (surely everyone likes penguins!)? Whatever you like, dislike, love, desire, want or really don’t care about, your Profile is the place you can write all this down.
You can also upload a pic to represent you in your Profile. Click on ‘Upload Photo’ and upload the image you want from your computer. This image will appear in the top left hand panel in your room, but remember only your friends will see it, not strangers.
ATTENTION: WHAT’S MOST IMPORTANT ABOUT ALWAYS HAPPY ISLAND?
We don’t mean to be boring, but we’re going to be anyway, so listen up, ladies!
Please be incredibly careful about what information you let others see. We suggest you don’t use your real name as your User Name and obviously you should NEVER EVER let anyone know your secret password.

It’s where you can show off the best photo’s you’ve ever taken! A pic of your friends, you in a dazzling outfit, or that pair of shoes you really want? You never know, someone might take the hint! Any photo you like really, as long as it’s decent! Remember only your friends will be able to see the photos you upload and they will take up to 24 hours to travel from you to the Always Happy Island. We’ll tell you via email if there’s any problem with any photo you try and upload.
That’s easy too. Just open your Diary and click on the Gallery tab. There you’ll see a menu that let’s you upload a photo. Click on it and just follow the instructions you get.
This is all the boring admin stuff, like your name, email and address. You can access it by opening your Suitcase at any time. Just click on ‘My Account’ and you’ll see it. Nobody except you can see your Account because it’s protected by your special password. Remember never to tell anyone what it is.
You can tell other Islanders how you feel or what you’re doing really quickly by filling in your Status – in 140 characters or less. Just click the ‘Change’ button in the panel in the top left of your room and tell the Island how you feel.
You can access your Friends List at any time by opening your Suitcase. Click on ‘Friends’ and there they are.
Fancy a change? You can decorate any time you want by just clicking on the rolls of wallpaper in the corner of your room. You’ll see a menu that gives you the chance to change things like your table and chair, plus the colour of the walls, floor and ceiling. You can also use a photo as wallpaper. Just select the wall (or walls) you want and upload your pic.
